Important Provisions of the Rules Verification of Character and Antecedent : Character and antecedent of all security guards and supervisors will be verified from police before their appointment. Security Training :  All security guards and supervisors will undergo 20-days security training totaling 160 hours on prescribed subject as per NOS. Physical Fitness : All security guards should meet the criteria of physical fitness as given below :- Height – men 160cms and women 150cms.   Eye sight – far sight vision 6/6 and near sight vision 0.6/0.6 Good hearing.   Free from knock-knees and flat foot.   Should have good overall health.   Should not have any contagious disease. Eligibility for a Private Security Guard Any person who is desirous of serving as a private security guard should :- Be a citizen to India. Be between 18-60 years of age. Have good character and antecedents. Not have been convicted by a court or dismissed from Armed Forces service. Have been trained in security duties successfully. Meet physical standards criteria. Photo Identity Card : All private security guards will be issued with a photo identity card by the private security agency employing them. Unauthorized use of uniforms : Private security personnel will not use such uniforms and accoutrements that resemble the uniform as Armed Forces, Police Forces or Para-Military Forces.
