  • Waist-high turnstiles :- This type of turnstiles is inbuilt in a steel frame for the ease of erection and installation. Its height is restricted to the waist level, hence the name.
  • Full-height turnstiles :- The full-height turnstile is a bigger version of the entryway. It is generally seven feet high and has a rotating door, which eliminates the possibility of anyone jumping over the turnstile. Full Height turnstiles are floor-to-ceiling turnstiles with mechanical rotating barriers. These are installed in high security area. They operate similarly to a revolving door with the only difference being that they allow access to one person at a time, locking after letting one person through.
  • Flap Barrier and optical turnstiles :- Flap barrier turnstiles are an alternative to the traditional “arm” style turnstiles wherein instead of tripod arms, flaps made of the same metal are used. Flap barrier gates / turnstiles are electronic optical gates with glass boards. These glass boards stretch out from a pair of optical turnstile cabinets. The boards meet in the middle of the cupboards to frame a person on foot boundary. A flap barrier turnstile is an aesthetically pleasing security access control solution. There have the same functioning as that of tripod turnstiles.
