Important Provisions of the Rules

Verification of Character and Antecedent : Character and antecedent of all security guards and supervisors will be verified from police before their appointment.

Security Training :  All security guards and supervisors will undergo 20-days security training totaling 160 hours on prescribed subject as per NOS.

Physical Fitness : All security guards should meet the criteria of physical fitness as given below :-

  • Height – men 160cms and women 150cms.
  •  Eye sight – far sight vision 6/6 and near sight vision 0.6/0.6
  • Good hearing.
  •  Free from knock-knees and flat foot.
  •  Should have good overall health.
  •  Should not have any contagious disease.

Uniform and Accoutrements : A security guards will wear a uniform with the following accoutrement :-

  • Photo identity card.
  • Arm badge.
  • Chest badge.
  • Lanyard and whistle.
  • Belt.
  • Shoes with laces.
  • Cap and badge.
  • Notebook and pen.
