Purpose of PatrollingThe basic purpose of patrolling is to address the following security aspects:
- Detect, prevent and deter intrusion, trespass, robbery, vandalism and different crimes.
- Detect and prevent fire safety and health hazards.
- Investigate upon the causes of various alarms as directed by the central alarm panel or supervisor.
- Test and inspect the physical security system installed in the area.
- Observe and report unusual events.
- Respond to emergencies.
- Observe and report violations.
- Check and report for any breaches/ gaps in the security of the premises.
- Assist plant workers or management to maintain a secured climate/environment.
