Visitor Management System

At the entry gate of any government, commercial, industrial and residential complex, a number of personnel, vehicles and material move in and out from the premises. The persons moving in and out from the include officers, staff, workers etc. There is one category of people called ‘visitor’. In the overall interest of the organization, visitors have to be managed efficiently and with due courtesy. A security guard plays a major role in handling and managing of visitors to premises.

What is a visitor ?
Visitor is a person, who visits a client’s premises with a purpose to attend a meeting, conference, business deal, inspection, interviews etc. It is important for security guards to understand the nature and type of visitor coming to the premises where they are deployed to perform security duties.

Category of visitors :-

  • Prescheduled Visitors :- These visitors who arrive with prior appointment fall in this category. The arrangement is looked for by the visitors themselves or fixed by the association before hand. It is easier to manage such visitors, since necessary documentation and visitors pass is prepared in advance and the person is designated to escort them to the concerned official. 
  • Unscheduled Visitors :- All other visitors coming without appointment are termed as unscheduled visitors. For their situation, all customs and documentation is done after their appearance. It is important to take the consent of the concerned official, to whom the visitor wishes to meet, before preparing the visitors pass.
